How do I get a weird fold out of my car floor mat?

This is a really weird one, I know. My floor mat got scrunched up and sat in the sun when it was new and four years later I still can’t get the fold out. I’ve tried machine washing/drying, and leaving it weighted in the sun, but nothing works. Any suggestions?
