Is it weird to hang out with someone six years older or younger than you?

I’m pretty close with people in my worship band but their ages vary from mid-teens to late twenties. I never had a problem hanging out with someone older, this one girl’s like a sister. Lately I’ve been hanging out with people younger too. Is that weird at all? Just cause they’re teens and usually college aged people don’t do that? I have a brother around their age and they seems older than they are.

Yesterday, my friend went up to my crush and told him I like him and he already knows I like him. So, when my friend told him, he was like whatttttt and he smiling and my friend said he sorta turned red? What does all of this mean?
