What does it mean when im getting a weird after taste when I drink water recently?

when i drink water, it tastes different. this has been going on for more than a month now.
Ive tried all brands of water and they are tasting weird, eventhough my friends say that they dont. could there be something wrong in my body?

If you are a bartender, do your hands get funny stains or anything from working?

One of the characters in my novel is a seriosu bartender and I am trying to describe his fingers. If you work long hours as a bartender, cutting fruit, washing stuff, etc, do your fingers suffer any effects? Funny stains? Permanantly wrinkled tips? Anything identifiable or special?
